The Ultimate Business Card

Transform Your Expertise into Authority with a Business Book

When you publish a business book that showcases your knowledge and experience, you elevate your professional status instantly. A well-crafted book opens doors to new opportunities, establishing you as an author-expert in your field. Your credibility soars, and marketing possibilities expand exponentially—from speaking engagements to media appearances.

No other tool matches a book’s power to build your reputation and amplify your company’s marketing reach. The only challenge? Creating a professional manuscript requires significant time and expertise. That’s where I come in.

Sadly, many of the “ghostwriters” advertising online are offshore, outsource phonies (“Avail 80% Off Now”) who have muddied the waters of the field. And most local ghostwriters were never able to land an agent or book contract from a major publisher before calling themselves “ghostwriter.” Your most logical approach? Get help from an experieneced author/ghostwriter who had the skills to get vetted and hired by a traditional publisher before offering ghostwriting services.

Answers To Your Questions

Ownership and rights are yours alone. It is your book, in every way.

You bet. All your ideas are held in strict and complete confidentiality, as your Writing Agreement will detail.

It‘s not easy to choose a ghostwriter, but one thing is vital: Make certain the ghostwriter was an author first; that is, that he or she has been published by a major book publisher such as Harper-Collins or Random House, not simply self-published. No private individual can assess the writing skills or project capabilities of a writer as well as a major publishing house can. Also: Does the ghostwriter try to “sell” you on writing your book? Will you be interviewed in person if you wish? Finally, you and the ghost should think alike and see eye-to-eye. Trust your intuition.

I can. I find this question interesting! For some people, this is one of their greatest worries about finding a ghost, but for a good writer, capturing the voice and tone of a client is one of the easiest parts of ghostwriting. It’s true. Much like an accomplished actor who uses different accents and personality styles for different parts, an accomplished writer can create many different voices, styles, tones. I have written all manner of fiction, non-fiction, and film scripts, and each work has a unique “voice” that suits the needs of the project. With your feedback, I will perfectly capture your voice. Guaranteed.

Absolutely. My expert interviewers and stenographers can meet you anywhere in the US, and beyond.  We have interviewer-journalist associates in CA, TX, FL, NY, MI, PA, VA, IL and more. Also, I can meet with you when travel expenses are covered. That said, with our help, you can dictate your information from home or office, easily and in a few sittings. Let’s talk.

This is understandably a common question. I will give you my opinion when you share your idea, but keep this in mind: In my experience, if you are an intelligent, accomplished person who is excited about a book idea, it probably is a good idea. Be realistic and know exactly why you want to write a book, but don’t let others discourage you because you can find hundreds of great book ideas that were rejected by “experts” before becoming bestsellers… (When we speak by phone, remind me to tell you about an idea I had some time ago for a film script, an idea I was excited about, but my agent disliked.)

You’ll see the basic, 10-party Process on this page, but here are some details:

o Brainstorm about the book’s “reason for being,” its scope and trajectory.
o Create a basic list of chapters.
o Create a detailed outline (with focus on a sound structure).
o Interview you or have you dictate content as you follow the outline.
o Create “style pages” to be sure I have captured your voice and style.
o Write a “Concentrated Draft” – create a shorter-than-final draft, which will allow us to assess structure, style, and completeness of information.
o Write a complete draft.
o Revise drafts as needed.
o Send to independent editors for review, and then complete revisions.
o Send to a professional proofreader.

My simple Writing Agreement lays out our responsibilities, your sole ownership of the work and the confidential nature of your ideas; it’s quite simple and I always send a sample copy or your review before proceeding. I also welcome reasonable Agreement revisions from you.

Yes. Upon completion of one or more chapters of your book, I will forward manuscript pages to you for your review and comments.

Of course, completion time varies by project scope, but as an example, my staff and I can complete your Total Business Book Package™ in as few as four months.

You will see your book in stages throughout the writing and production process.

Some book publishing insiders insist that nearly one-half of all published books are largely written by ghosts!

There may be some ghostwriters who brag that they “do everything,” all alone. I don’t believe that is the best strategy. A single person simply cannot be an expert in all things. I feel there is great power in what Think and Grow Rich author Napoleon Hill termed the “Mastermind Group;” that is, the assembled talents of many skilled people, working together. I (and by extension, you) have a crack staff at my disposal— interviewers, editors, editor/writers, project managers, proofreaders, designers, marketing and publishing consultants. While I oversee the entire book and do the bulk of the writing in most cases, these US-based employees offer varying skill sets and specialties, and I make the most of these talents, all with the goal of helping you realize your publishing dream as we help you create superb book of your own. Of course, different strategies suit different people, but I would not want to hand a rare collector car over to a “one-man” operation when I believe the best shops are home to myriad specialists. I believe the same logic applies to the ghostwriting process.

While I cannot guarantee that a book will be published by a major book publisher, I can get your book designed and printed, complete with ISBN, and listed for sale on Amazon and on other major bookseller websites. In today’s world of print-on-demand books, online booksellers, and downloadable eBooks, many established authors now choose “self-publishing” over traditional publishing. That said, you may have a book idea that traditional publishers are interested in; I’d be glad to help. NOTE: Do yourself a favor and discuss publishing with me before you sign any contract!

I am willing to discuss a fast write, but I strongly discourage it. Good writing takes time; I worry that “fast” often equals “bad.”

Not at all. Upfront payment of fees is not required; typically, the cost is broken into 4 equal payments.

Just get in touch, below. You and I will get on the phone and make sure your project is a good fit for both of us. Then, we’re on our way!

Here’s What’s Next

From the Ghostwriter’s Staff:

  • My staff will set up a personal call with me. This is not a “sales call.” Not every book is accepted.
  • We’ll et to know each other and decide if we have something in common.
  • You’ll learn about the Process and what to expect.
  • After the call, we’ll send more info and schedule a second call. During the follow-up call, you can ask more questions, and then you and I can decide if your project is a good fit for both of us.
